This is the icon of the Resurrection. I feel it is appropriate considering the season.
This contains some of my absolute FAVORITE symbolism. Note Christ walking over the cross, (which also look suspiciously like doors) overtop of the grave (represented by the bones). In other versions he is crushing satan and the power of hell underneath the cross.
The Crucifixion and the Resurrection are really one event. In the crucifixion he laid down his life for our sins. In the Resurrection He proclaims His Glory and defeats the Power of hell and death.
