I was using stumble upon, and one of my categories is Eastern Orthodox Christianity (I’m not Orthodox, but I love a lot of their spirituality). I stumbled across an Ikon that I had never seen before.
Communion
I love the symbolism of the disciples approaching Christ for the Gifts. Its easy to forget that when we approach the sacrament, we approach Christ. We are partaking in the Sacrifice of Christ through the Body and the Blood. It is a Divine Gift. And I believe this Ikon shows that quite vividly.
